ESPN: Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had a horrible return with two interceptions.
After suffering an ACL tear that ended the previous season, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones made a terrible comeback on Saturday. On two of his first three drives, he threw interceptions, including a pick-six.Jones chose an option that was appalling. Under pressure, Jones—who in the offseason received a four-year, $160 million contract extension—panicked as the play started at New York’s own 8-yard line. Jones threw the poor throw to Texans safety Jalen Pitre with defensive end Derek Barnette looming over him as a potential safety. After that, he made an interception that was recovered by Texans CB Derek Stingley Jr., who made a diving move to block the misplaced deep ball along the sideline.
