Breaking: Yu Darvish of the Padres ‘thought it was wrong’ to collect salary for two months.
After more than a month away from the team on the restricted list for a personal family matter, Yu Darvish returned to the San Diego Padres on Friday. The Padres defeated the New York Mets 7-0 in a shutout while Darvish was reunited with his teammates and instructors. Darvish had spent time on the injured list and the restricted list before being released from the Padres for a number of months. His neck tightness caused him to miss two weeks of work in April, when he was originally placed on the injured list. Darvish made a comeback in May, but a groin problem sent him back to the injured list at the beginning of June. Later that day, he began his rehab, giving the impression that he was close to making a comeback.
