Breaking : Trent Williams, a 49ers LT, is a staging holdout.
Trent Williams has a six-year contract that expires in 2026, but the renowned left tackle is not happy with what’s written in it. According to Kyle Shanahan, the seasoned blocker is sitting out as of Wednesday (via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network). This information comes after Brandon Aiyuk decided to hold off. Because Aiyuk is on a rookie deal, the 49ers could waive his fees, just as they did with Nick Bosa last year. However, Williams will have to pay a daily punishment for missing camp. Having accumulated camp fines does not appear to be a deal breaker for the 15-year tackle, who has done well for himself after joining the league in 2010 under a CBA that was more lenient towards first-round selections. ..q
